littleBits Hero Inventor Kit

As part of the design team at littleBits, we worked to create this kit in collaboration with the Marvel Avengers licensing team. I was heavily involved in the early brainstorming process and built several rounds of prototypes of the wearable gauntlet chassis, LED matrix module, and Iron Man arm stand. The LED Matrix module can be programmed to display images and animations using an array of LEDs. The housing was designed to be easily assembled via sonic welding with a very low risk of improper assembly. The layers are designed to effectively pipe the LEDs to the viewing surface, diffuse hotspots, and mask the light out from areas we didn't want to it to show through.
